Soor Ploom

Soor Ploom

Production lines have been seriously affected by Covid-19 this year which has meant multiple drops of products across almost all of our brands throughout the year. Rather excitingly that means that we still have some gorgeous product to launch for the AW20 season and there is a wonderful buzz around the final instalment from Soor Ploom launching Monday 14th December at 3pm UK time.
Soor Ploom is SUCH a beautiful brand, producing collections that are both classic and simple but far from ordinary. Crafted from the finest fabrics including soft linens and fine cottons and manufactured both ethically and sustainably. Soor Ploom is all about the appreciation of quality over quantity.
WOW Gifts

WOW Gifts

I remember so vividly the one year when I came downstairs on Christmas morning to find a bike under (well next to) the Christmas tree, wrapped in a huge red bow. I'm not sure whether I was still "a believer" at that age but either which way it was the most exciting moment of my life thus far - a mint green racer with white handles. It must have been an 80s thing as I really can't imagine kids on them now!

In amongst our huge range of gifts and stocking fillers for babies through to older children are nestled some really WOW gifts - items that are beautifully crafted and offer endless play opportunity, things to cherish and pass down to younger siblings and things that will simply stay in the family forever.

Stocking Fillers

Stocking Fillers

Some of my most treasured memories of Christmas are waking up (at some ungodly hour) to find a filled stocking at the end of my bed.......before being promptly returned back to bed because it was little after 3am! After one unsuccessful very creaky floorboard attempt here several years ago, stockings are now hung on the fireplace where sensitive little ears are far less likely to catch me out and getting up time might squeak post 6am if we're lucky!
Countdown to Christmas

Countdown to Christmas

In our house the countdown to counting down Christmas (!) started this week with little fingers eager to get into the new advent calendars they can see on the side. I'm almost as excited as they are because, in spite of all the early Christmas preparations we make at the shop, December the 1st is when it all starts feeling official - when that first door its prised open the magic starts to flow and they know its just a few more days before the decorations and tree go up at home too.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

Christmas Trees....

Does yours go up in November or do you leave it until Christmas Eve?

Do you plump for an opulent artificial tree or spend hours walking through a forest of fresh trees desperately seeking THE ONE?

However and whenever you kickstart Christmas this year (for us its always the first weekend in December) we have the most gorgeous range of tree decorations for the festive season ahead with well over 100 hanging tree decorations in addition to fabulous garlands and wreaths.

CandyLab Cool

CandyLab Cool

Candylab Toys have been a staple at Junior Edition for some years but our love has never once wavered in all that time and we are as besotted with them now as the very first time we set eyes on these brilliant vehicles.

Candylab Toys have drawn on a deep love of classic American cars to create the most exquisite collection of elegant and endearing wooden vehicles loved by both kids and adults alike, the gasps that they draw at the shop, especially from grown men, never ceases to make me smile!

A Warm Welcome to Little Cotton Clothes

A Warm Welcome to Little Cotton Clothes

Welcoming any new brand to Junior Edition is always exciting and with two adventurous and active daughters of our own this is one that is especially close to our hearts as the range fits so perfectly with our own lives.

Little Cottons Clothes was founded by sisters Imogen and Leonie, who themselves have five children between them. When their daughters were born they struggled to find any clothing to suit their needs - simple, beautiful, traditional pieces that were as affordable as they are desirable. With a determination that can only be admired they set about creating their own clothing line, drawing inspiration from their own childhood experiences, growing up in the English countryside surrounded by adventure, fun and laughter.

ET Phone Mini Rodini

ET Phone Mini Rodini

I was never not going to write about this collaboration, E.T has been my favourite film forever, I have watched it scores and scores of times, I have a whole box of ET themed merch in tucked away in my loft and a giant stuffed toy in my room, I cried when I rode on the ride at Universal Studios in Florida. You get the picture, OBSESSED.

Keeping this collection a secret was harder for me than the first 3 months of pregnancy, I have basically been almost self-combusting with excitement in the months since it was first announced and it is such a relief to finally be able to shout it from the rooftops - ET PHONE MINI RODINI HAS ARRIVED!!!

The Animal Observatory X Reebok - Club C Revenge

The iconic Club C Revenge from Reebok has been re-booted and restyled by The Animals Observatory's Co-Founder and Creative Director Laia Aguilar, if there's one shoe you (or your kids) need in their wardrobe this season it's these. Wear them with anything and everything because they are THAT good!

Maed for Mini: Easy Like Sunday Morning

Maed for Mini: Easy Like Sunday Morning

Maed For Mini is an Amsterdam based conscious unisex kids clothing brand that we are delighted to now stock up to 10 years. It's one of those collections that I always want in me size and this season is no exception, their mature colour palettes combined with a sophisticated twist on animal prints get me every single time!

AW20, Easy Like Sunday Morning is inspired by those lazy Sunday moments you want to cherish forever - the patter of little feet entering the bedroom before sunrise, hot coffee and breakfast in bed and all the time in the world to read them their favourite books. The simple things in life that bring so much joy.

Mini Rodini AW20: Für Elise

Mini Rodini AW20: Für Elise

Mini Rodini never fail to impress; quirky, colourful prints that work as hard as kids play! It's one of those brands that is fun to buy and even more exciting to launch as little is revealed by way of 'sneak peaks' beyond the name of the collection. We get such a buzz launching the product after weeks of speculation on social media and there are always a few absolute gems in there that get folks super excited, and this season was no exception!

Autumn/Winter 2020 is an absolute cracker of a collection, with 3 chapters released across the months of July, August and September. Für Elise is inspired by classical music and art and there are so many fabulous new prints from Mozart pandas and cat choirs to notes and violas.
