We are delighted to welcome Kalinka to the Junior Edition family for the AW23 season. A brand that embodies everything there is to love about the cooler weather - gorgeous knitwear that is handcrafted with love, in Bulgaria.

Kalinka was founded by Nora Docheva. A mother herself, Nora became hooked on knitting whilst pregnant and began to make clothes for her children. From that point onwards there was no stopping her - she began digging through old closets and wardrobes for inspiration and looked to the older generations for advice. Before long she was producing her very first designs for babies and these became the very first foundations for Kalinka, a brand that has since grown to be represented worldwide.

Based in a beautiful city called Vidin situated on the Danube River.  Kalinka means ‘ladybug’ in the native Bulgarian language and the brand is heavily influenced by the region’s craftsmanship and its long traditions in knitting and producing yarns. Kalinka have an experienced team of Bulgarian Grandmothers producing their designs, carrying forward centuries old knitting traditions that have been passed down through the generations to be enjoyed by the very youngest today.

Their classic designs have enduring appeal, these are pieces that will no doubt be passed down to second and even third owners to be loved again and again and again. Their style is nostalgic and distinctive and the pieces as practical and comfortable as they are beautiful.

We have selected 19 pieces from their collection for the Autumn/Winter season. Choose from jumpers and cardigans in some truly stunning colour combinations together with knitted accessories including collars, berets and scarves that showcase the most beautiful work. You must look out for the crochet pieces too - these really are some of my very favourite from the collection.

Kalinka, for girls and boys up to 10 years of age, online now.
