]]>The eagerly awaited Spring drop 1 from Misha & Puff launched on the 8th of February and as always we were overwhelmed with the love for this beautiful collection with many pieces selling out in the first few minutes.
Some of the most popular styles were created in collaboration with artist Julie Daleyden, an illustrator and textile designer hailing from Lille in the very northern part of France.
]]>Some of the most popular styles were created in collaboration with artist Julie Daleyden, an illustrator and textile designer hailing from Lille in the very northern part of France.
Immersed in the creative world from a tender age, a young Julie was enrolled into an art school by parents at just six years of age where she was exposed to multitude of skills and techniques that included drawing, pottery and engraving whilst at home much time was spent in her grandmothers sewing workshop where experimenting and working with fabric became an integral part of life.
For the last 15 years, and alongside her own projects, Julie has collaborated with numerous textile, clothing, decoration and toy brands from her home based studio and printmaking facilities in the Espace d'art contemporain in Lasécu. We were so excited when we first heard Misha & Puff would be producing a Daleyden collection - it really was love at first sight when the styles were first shown to us and we are thrilled to be stocking all 20 of the children's pieces in this first drop.
Misha & Puff's recent journal provides a fascinating insight to Julie's world where she surrounds herself with the works of artist friends, and creates little stories for herself through objects and furniture that she's hunted down or that belonged to people important to her. She collects things that might be useful to her for creation or inspiration.
Whatever the technique (engraving, drawing, ceramics, sewing, etc.), Julie loves volume and being close to the material. In her notebooks, she draws little characters who travel to different worlds, like her engraving plates or ceramics. Julie gets her inspiration from travel, books, objects, traditional costumes, carnivals, Inuit art, sculpture, music, art brut, and naive art.
The Fête motif and other Daleyden pieces featuring Happy Moons, Sparrows, Finches, Wrens and Doves are available now with more to follow later in the season. The beautifully bright colour palette is a breath of fresh air as we reach the end of the long Winter season, with 20 fresh new styles that include t-shirts, shorts, skirts, dresses, long sleeve boxy tops, the best a pants (almost all gone!) and super sweet hair scrunchies too.
With some sizes in several styles are already sold out and very limited availability left in others and we would strongly suggest not leaving it until the warm weather arrives to bag one of these beauties!
And, in addition to the gorgeous Daleyden collection, don't forget to explore the other styles from Spring drop 1. Lots of lovely knitwear that includes Popcorn Pullovers, Skating Skirts and the Wake Mer Cardigan in multiple colours, plus Scout Tees and Sailor Tops and the retro inspired Rec Tees and Resort Shorts.
You'll be thrilled to hear that the super popular Tisbury Garden print is back too in a gorgeous Garden and Rose Blush spanning a total of 8 styles that include the Balloon Sleeve Paloma, Leggings, the Billie Top and Cycling Shorts.

From that point onwards there was no stopping her - she began digging through old closets and wardrobes for inspiration and looked to the older generations for advice. Before long she was producing her very first designs for babies and these became the very first foundations for Kalinka, a brand that has since grown to be represented worldwide.
Based in a beautiful city called Vidin situated on the Danube River. Kalinka means ‘ladybug’ in the native Bulgarian language and the brand is heavily influenced by the region’s craftsmanship and its long traditions in knitting and producing yarns. Kalinka have an experienced team of Bulgarian Grandmothers producing their designs, carrying forward centuries old knitting traditions that have been passed down through the generations to be enjoyed by the very youngest today.

We have selected 19 pieces from their collection for the Autumn/Winter season. Choose from jumpers and cardigans in some truly stunning colour combinations together with knitted accessories including collars, berets and scarves that showcase the most beautiful work. You must look out for the crochet pieces too - these really are some of my very favourite from the collection.

A tradition whose origins trace back to an ancient Celtic festival called Samhain when bonfires were lit and costumes worn to ward off the threat of ghosts, the modern day Halloween provides a great excuse to decorate the house, celebrate all things spooky and of course eat at least half of the sweets the kids have collected out trick or treating!
]]>If you've popped into our beautiful Brighton store in the last couple of weeks you'll have no doubt noticed we've had a bit of seasonal makeover, embracing all things Autumn and celebrating what has to be my favourite festival of the year, Halloween.
The centrepiece of our (mildy) horrifying Halloween makeover is a giant twig tree, adorned with the most fabulous hanging decorations from Amica and Felt So Good. These are so easy to make at home and a lovely family activity. Simply forage some small, twisty branches from your garden or woodland, find a heavy bottomed vase or mason jar (weighted down with water, pebbles or marbles for stability) and decorate!
Our own decorations come courtesy of two really wonderful British brands - Bristol based Amica and Cheltenham based Felt So Good both of whom specialise in beautiful felt creations. Designed in England and handmade in Nepal, their products are crafted by incredibly skilled teams of needle felters, wet felters and embroiderers.
Both brands work extremely closely with their respective teams in Nepal and every worker is supported by fair wages and safe working conditions. The products themselves are ethically produced from 100% sheep's wool; a completely natural by-product that is biodegradable, sustainable and of course plastic free whilst the process, by its very nature, is both environmentally friendly and pollution free as the artisan methods of production used rely entirely on hand and not factories full of machines.
We have close to 50 felt hanging, garland and larger stand-alone decorations for Halloween - choose from pumpkins, bats, ghosts, big bad wolves, mummies, spiders, dracula and almost everything in-between!
Get your spook on with Amica and Felt So Good fairtrade, felt decorations - online and throughout in our boo-tiful Brighton store too.

Launched back in October 2016 (and stocked here at Junior Edition since AW18) Welsh designer Lisa Roberts is an experienced women's knitwear designer who often had envisaged her designs in miniature. Her passion for childrenswear design had always been strong, even before becoming a mother, and once Lisa started a family and returned to her roots in Wales, Mabli was born.
With a slow fashion approach and an eclectic and vintage inspired aesthetic, Mabli's signature style always includes interpreting traditional Welsh Tapestry blanket patterns in to their designs, contrasted with simple and versatile ribbed layering pieces. These are clothes that are designed with longevity in mind; made to be worn and treasured for as long as possible before being handed down to siblings or friends and loved all over again.
They use beautiful Italian-spun yarns such as 100% extra fine merino wool, linen and organic pima cotton in their garments all of which are made by trusted suppliers in Wales, Scotland and across Europe. All of the manufacturers and suppliers they work with, and materials they use, have high standards with regards to safety and ethical practices.
This season sees your favourite shapes return in a beautiful earthy colour palette with hints of brightness and warmth. In the first drop we have selected pieces with neutral bases of Almond and Umber together with jacquard patterns and stripes in Mink and Duck Egg.
The Sylfaen skinny rib long sleeve tops and leggings in supersoft extrafine merino wool are the perfect choice for little ones with hypoallergenic qualities that help to regulate body temperature and repel moisture. It feels very soft against the skin and is machine-washable, as well as being a sustainable fibre - the perfect mix of practicality and luxury.
New for this season and introduced in the very recent second drop, a special new yarn for colder days. A fluffy, soft and light air-spun Baby Alpaca blend has been used to create the stunning Sglefrio (that means skating in Welsh) styles. Classic pullovers and Tam O'Shanter style hats come kids and adult versions with the children's range expanding to include pixie hoods, scarves and leggings too. Choose from olive and walnut combinations. We are SO in love with these.
With over 40 new styles for the season ahead you're bound to find something you love.

]]>This autumn, the new collection's mood looks to a 1960s childhood filled with simple abandon; outdoor play, offbeat styling and no-rules personal expression. Statement 60s silhouettes sit alongside more casual and practical layering pieces to give a modern edge, and the chance for kids to create their own unique vision.
The Apolina colour palette embraces inspirations from the natural world. Practical, earthy tones of forest green, lichen, lake blue and bark sit alongside highlight tones of retro green and rose. Prints give a retro nod, conjuring romantic notions of a day in the woods with a bundle of lunch, or catching the last hours of sunlight while playing out on the street.
We love the statement Anni dress in Apolina's exclusive notebook floral print, with its skater silhouette and 1960s mood. Pair with our beautiful Pèpè Lulu T bar shoes in heritage tan for special outings.
Bibi dungarees are a new shape for us this season. The ankles can be rolled up or down to allow maxiumum wear (and growing kids!), and the style is roomy enough to layer with chunky knits on cold winter days. It's shown here layered with the beautiful Talitha blouse in pansy garden willow.
The retro sailor collar on the Bette shirt dress in bluebell cotton dobby showcases Apolina's beautiful embroideries. It's super cute with ankle socks and the Pèpè Ezra sandals in contrasting kava brown.
Mira dress in Apolina's exclusive pansy garden print is such an easy to wear dress, in a relaxed pull on shape. The dramatic contrast embroidery adds a special touch.
The Minnie dress is crafted in the season’s woven worker check - we also have the blouse version of this dress in the same fabric - and features Apolina's signature hand smocking at the chest and vintage folk style embroidered collar and cuffs. Layer with our Collégien Louise ribbed tights on crisp Autumn days.
Apolina AW23 launches on Thursday 12th September at 2pm BST. Don't miss it!

As always, the vintage inspired shapes and detailing give a nod to nostalgia, and Leonie and Imogen have drawn on their own childhood experiences for inspiration.
Highlights for me have to include the pretty Broderie Anglaise styles - the Avery and Ava Dress and Blouse together with the Coco Culottes in Oat are GORGEOUS. They are amongst our the best-selling styles this season with limited sizes remaining and some sold out completely already (sorry!)
Every item in the Little Cotton Clothes collections is designed here in England before being lovingly handmade in a handful of small, very carefully selected, factories in India and Turkey whose ethical and environmental standards align with their own. Manufacturing partners are regularly audited to ensure that the minimum working age and acceptable hours are adhered to, that employees are cared for, employment is chosen freely, and employees work in safe and hygienic conditions.
The clothes themselves are ethically made in single batches and small numbers using organic and sustainably sourced cotton whilst fabrics are printed and dyed in Oeko-Tex certified print houses to ensure that no harmful chemicals or toxins are present. Waste is also kept to an absolute minimum with any excess fabric donated to a charity in India who recycle and make clothes for local families in need whilst any unsold items or samples are donated to charity or to a local crisis centre for women who have suffered the trauma of domestic abuse.
Inspired by nature and nostalgia rather than fashion, these are clothes for children that like to adventure and explore - simple designs that are easy to wear and hardwearing enough to have fun in. Pieces that are made to be loved, worn and passed down to be loved all over again.

'Bistrot Tadaboum', as the name suggests, is a nod to that quintessentially Parisian past-time of eating, drinking (and of course people watching) from the cafes and bars that line the streets of Paris. Is there anything better than soaking up the sunshine with a steak-frites and lemonade (or une bière fraîche when you're old enough)?
An easy to wear collection for boys and girls from 2/3 to 10/11 years, you'll have so much fun mixing and matching their gorgeous range of shorts, tees, tank tops, sweaters and socks in bright colours and bold prints. Fabrics such as french terry, towelling and fleece provide a gloriously retro feel to this colourful collection and kids will fall in love with the cute character prints.
Maison Tadaboum's collections are designed exclusively in Paris with the majority of garments being produced in Europe. Sustainability and environmental impact is a responsibility that the brand takes seriously. From the careful selection of manufacturing partners (working in fair conditions with fair pay) to the fabrics such as organic cotton and recycled polyestar used to create the garments and accessories. Everything they produce is Oeko-Tex certified (meaning that every single component of the product, from the fabric to the thread have been rigorously tested against a list of up to 350 toxic chemicals).
We are so thrilled to have Maison Tadaboum onboard and have selected 17 fabulous pieces for our first season with them. 'Bistrot Tadaboum', online now.

Easter egg trees are becoming increasingly fashionable - who doesn't love an excuse to decorate a tree outside of Christmas?! - but they actually have been around for centuries. The Ostereierbaum is the German tradition of decorating a tree or shrub with hanging Easter eggs, and can be indoors or outside. You can turn a favourite tree in your garden into an Easter tree, or create one for inside your home with foraged branches and dyed, painted eggs and other ornaments. It's a lovely - and easy - family activity to celebrate the holiday and the start of Spring.
1. You can use a variety of branches - ones which work best have a Spring feel to them and are budding, or flowering. Make sure they are strong enough to hold your decorations. Our favourites to use are Cherry Blossoms, Magnolia branches and Pussy or Twisted Willow. If you are fortunate enough to have some pretty branches in your garden use those, but we got our beautiful twisted willow stems for well under ten pounds from our local florist in Brighton.
2. Once you have selected your branches, arrange them in a heavy bottomed vase or Mason jar (this will ensure that your beautiful creation doesn't get too top heavy and topple over) and fill with water. If using straighter branches such as pussy willow you may wish to add pretty marbles, or pebbles, in the vase to make sure the branches stay put. Our willow was so twisty it stayed in place without the need for this.
3. Finally, decorate your tree! We used our favourite fairtrade felt ornaments from Amica and Felt So Good, but you can really use anything! Go traditional with hand blown and dyed eggs hung on pretty ribbon, or get creative with the kids and make pretty paper decorations or pompom chicks. Start to build your own collection of heirloom Easter decorations, we store ours in a pretty tin and it's a joy to get them out every year and re-use them - reminiscing while creating new happy memories!
Most of all, have fun! Here's our finished creation, which you can see this year in our Brighton store, and features a mix of hand-felted mini eggs, festive chicks and bunnies (with carrots!) and some Spring friends too, including my favourite the Easter Toad, and pretty Lola the Ladybird and Colin Caterpillar. Check out the full selection of our beautiful hand-felted Easter decorations in our Easter section here.

You'll often find a softer, more romantic side to the collection and this season is no exception, the White Flowers print is just beautiful - we have the Clam Shorts and the Wolf Shirt in this print.
Fans of floral will be super excited by the Beige Flower print, we loved it so much we brought it across 7 stunning styles for both babies and older kids. The super cute, ruffled Kiwi Skirt just flew at launch and I'm afraid we only have one left in age 2 left at the time of writing but with tops, tank tops, pants and a sweatshirt still to choose from you won't be disappointed!
The popular Hamster Caps have had a bit of a makeover this season and are now more easily adjustable and, from the new line of swimsuits, we think you'll love the Clownsuit Swimsuit - the long sleeves and cut give off a seriously sweet retro vibe.
It's another gloriously eclectic collection from The Animals Observatory and with some styles and sizes already completely sold out you might not want to wait til Spring, online now whilst stocks last!

With several hundred designs from hanging tree decorations and stockings to beautiful wreaths and garlands, there really is something for everyone, whether you're a staunch traditionalist or are on the lookout for something super quirky this Christmas.
We are delighted to work with two fabulous British brands, both specialising in these beautiful felt creations, Bristol based Amica and Cheltenham based Felt So Good.
Their product ranges are designed in England and handmade in Nepal by incredibly skilled teams of needle felters, wet felters and embroiderers. The process is by its very nature is both environmentally friendly and pollution free as these artisan methods of production rely entirely on hand and not factories full of machines.
Both brands work extremely closely with their respective teams in Nepal, ensuring every worker is supported by fair wages and safe working conditions and the products themselves are ethically produced from 100% sheep's wool; a completely natural by-product that is biodegradable, sustainable and of course plastic free. There's so much to love about these wonderful creations.
Hanging stockings, ready to be filled by the big man, come in 3 designs - mistletoe, holly and jolliest of Santa's - these are beautifully decorative as well as functional and would look stunning pinned to the fireplace as we countdown to Christmas. We also have a range of mini hanging stockings for the tree that include the very recently received alphabet stockings - each of these sweet stockings has been wet felted, with an additional embroidered letter and needle felted character or decoration such as a gingerbread man, santa hat or snowflake. So cute and on my shopping list for every member of the family this year.
Traditional decorations include felted mistletoe sprigs (which we have been hanging in place of the real thing for a couple of years now), wreaths of holly, angel tree toppers, garlands of christmas puddings and brussel sprouts and hanging decorations that include robins and doves.
If you're after something a little sillier the brand new pigs in blankets would have to be my pick (officially called swaddling piglets if you're trying to search online), available with either a holly or mistletoe trim. We have lots more piggies to choose from, include the sweetest guinea pig in a Santa hat with the menagerie of other animals spanning just about every creature you might dare to imagine. Dinosaurs, dogs, sloths, sharks, reindeer, rabbits, cats, donkeys, owls, foxes, koalas, llamas..... I could go on forever!
Amica and Felt So Good Fairtrade, felt decorations - online and throughout in our beautiful Brighton store too.
]]>The third and final drop from Soor Ploom is very nearly upon us and we can't wait to bring you the last pieces needed to complete your winter wardrobes.
With nearly 20 new styles incoming, you won't be short of choice and we will be adding the Agatha Tunic, Charlie and Imogen Overalls, Eloise, Enola and Tippi Pinafores, Jane Trousers, Mayes and Molly Skirts, Prudence Skorts and Vintage Jeans to our drop1 and 2 selection.

We fell in love with the brand new Mayes and Molly Skirts at first sight. The Mayes is a prairie skirt with a shaped and gathered cotton flounce in Leaf Print and a denim yoke in Quail. The shape as the dress falls is just perfect.
Meanwhile the Black Denim Molly Skirt is giving me all the 80's feels, the ruffles I remember wearing myself as a child way back when are reworked with such beauty. I guarantee this style will be on every girl's wish-list and it works with just about everything from delicate blouses to chunky knits.
We have a lot of your favourite denim coming this drop. It's just perfect for this time of year as the denim styles are hardwearing enough to cope with Autumnal elements and changeable weather. The Charlie and Imogen Overalls, together with the Vintage and Retro Jeans are our go-to for outdoor adventures at this time of year, whether its climbing trees, running through leaves or jumping in muddy puddles (with the tallest of wellies on of course!)
I love the warmth of Autumn colours and these are so beautifully represented throughout this collection - the Clove, Herb and Old Gold we have already seen embody everything there is to love about the change in season and that gorgeous Sequoia we saw in the Retro Jean in drop 1 returns in the Charlie Overall, Jane Trouser and Eloise Pinafore in this third and final drop.
As we head deeper into Winter all of those beautiful Linens, Lilacs and Blacks are so evocative of the beauty there is to be found in our coldest season.
Soor Ploom, drop 3, launches Thursday 17th November.
]]>AW22 is our fourth season with Bonjour, and the collection, entitled "Little House On The Prairie", may well be our favourite so far. Brimming with pieces that showcase traditional techniques such as embroidery, smocking, quilting and block-printing in colours, prints and textures influenced by designer Anne Millet's love of travel.
]]>The handmade nature of this collection means that whilst no two pieces are quite the same, every garment has its own unique character and beauty, which for me is one of the things that makes it so special.
Our selection for the Autumn/Winter season spans over 50 clothing styles and includes the sweetest ballet pumps in ivory and navy floral prints and a white ecru fur too. Footwear can sometimes be the stumbling block when putting an outfit together and this sweet selection makes top to toe perfection super simple.
You'll find lots of feminine, winter floral prints in this collection together with the stunning green and indigo jacquard flowers. There are lots of long sleeve pieces (often with the most stunning embroidery detail) as well as the Apron dresses which are lovely layered now and can be worn alone when we eventually transition into warmer weather again. Such a versatile style that works all year round offering real value for money.
Tartan (plaid or checks depending on your geographical location) has been a bit of a winter go-to for me for many years now and Bonjour are really spoiling me this season with a choice of not one but THREE beautiful check colour-ways.
Choose from a traditional red and green or the super striking indigo. Styles span dresses, blouses, the sweetest pyjamas and a gorgeous reversible sailor jacket which has brushed cotton on one side and fur on the other, perfect for keeping cosy on colder days.
If you are looking for warm layers the cardigans in green and black will also see you comfortably through to Spring. A cotton knit with a heart and flowers jacquard design and finished with the prettiest pleated collar.
For special occasions the fushia pieces are really striking and would definitely be my party pick. Made from a special soft fabric with a peached suedette finish in a colour that pops. Just lovely to wear and featuring some beautiful embroidery and hand-smocking.
If you are party planning or want something special for the festive season Bonjour ticks all the boxes. We are thrilled to be stocking this collection exclusively in the UK this season and whilst very limited quantities of some styles and colours remain there are so many gorgeous styles to choose from that your biggest challenge will be not buying it all!
]]>Soor Ploom is one of those really special brands, exquisite designs that are beautifully executed. Ethically and sustainably produced heirloom pieces that are made to worn. passed down and loved again (and definitely one of the most popular brands in our pre-loved department, ReEdition). Soor Ploom embodies everything we love about slow fashion.
]]>Of the two beautiful drops we have had so far this season (there's still one to come) I wanted to take a closer look at the incredible knitwear and coats we are stocking for Autumn/Winter 2022.
The Knitwear Collection is produced in Peru using the very finest materials. The manufacturers that Soor Ploom have so carefully selected to partner with are both ethical and sustainable in their practices, producing pieces whose quality, craftsmanship and beauty shines through.
Coats come in two styles this season - the longer length Ruth Coat which is available in Clove, Coal and Linen and the shorter Elfen Coat, available in Herb and Coal.
The Ruth is swingy sweater coat with patch pockets, a Peter Pan collar and balloon shaped sleeves whilst the Elfen is a cosy hooded style with rib trimmed pockets in a roomy fit, perfect for easy layering over your favourite sweater.
Both are made from a gorgeous superwash merino wool with zero itch. These coats are beautifully soft, gentle on a child's sensitive skin and just lovely to wear!
In addition to the coats, and as part of the same, second drop you'll find knitwear. From pullovers, cardigans and vests to stirrup pants and coveralls.
Pullovers come in five styles and six colours - its an almost impossible task to choose a favourite but I do love the pretty Lilac colour this season and the classic Agnes Sweater has an updated waffle rib stitch for 2022. This style of sweater looks so good with the Retro Jeans (and Charlie Overalls that are coming soon too).
If you like a chunkier knit, the Marlo Pullover and Beatrice Cardigans are stunning, available in both Linen and Clove. And, for a top to toe knit outfit you really can't beat the Piper Pullover paired with the Mina Stirrup Pants!
Of course there is so much more to Soor Ploom than knitwear, we carry styles that span all seasons from skirts, dresses and rompers to trousers, overalls and shorts with tops that include blouses and camisoles as well as sweaters. We've also very recently introduced Collegien socks and tights which work so beautifully with this collection.
Stay tuned to our Instagram account for news on the third drop - coming very soon!

New styles nestle amongst old favourites and the colour palette is just exquisite this season. The eagle eyed amongst you might have spotted that there are several pieces in the striking Primary Space Dye and pretty Prime Confetti as well as stunning crochet skating skirts in Cranberry and Marigold that are exclusive to retailers and are not available from Misha and Puff direct.
Sourced and produced responsibly the collections are not only expertly crafted but thoughtfully manufactured too, using organic fabrics and low-impact dyes which absorb better into the yarn. This means less water is needed during the rinse process and less run-off of dye during the rinse. Kinder to the environment all round.
The majority of Misha & Puff products are produced in Peru, the knitting capital of the world. Working collaboratively with their artisan partners based there, Misha and Puff refer to to the Peruvian partners as their life-blood. They handle the day-to-day operations on the ground in Peru, working closely with their knitting leaders.
The knitting leaders operate as small businesses and manage their own groups of knitters who are tremendously talented and truly passionate about everything they do. Misha and Puff refer to these groups of knitters as knitting cooperatives, they exist all over Lima, Arequipa, and beyond, empowering women and providing reliable jobs and steady income within those communities.
There is of course more to Misha and Puff than just knitwear, you'll find lots of gorgeous Pima Cotton styles too. The Scout tops are available in six different colour ways, we have leggings, long sleeve tees and turtlenecks in the Rosette and Mojave Lasso print and a small handful of the Railroad and Blueberry Dot left too.
This is feel good fashion at its very best and the timeless, hardwearing designs means pieces can be passed down through families, shared with friends or of course sold to be loved again.
Misha and Puff are amongst the most popular pieces that pass through Re Edition, the brand new pre-loved arm of Junior Edition based at our Brighton store. Created as part of our own commitment to offering an ethical and more sustainable way of shopping.

]]>Sonny Angel hails from Japan. Born all the way back in 2004, the very first version was actually a doll that stood at 18cm tall and not the miniature we know and love today.
We've been stocking the Sonny Angel figures for longer than anyone here can even remember (I did ask). All we are sure of is that they've been with us at Junior Edition almost as long as we have been here ourselves and, due to the ever-evolving themes, continue to be a perennial favourite both online and in-store.

All we are sure of is that they've been with us at Junior Edition almost as long as we have been here ourselves and, due to the ever-evolving themes, continue to be a perennial favourite both online and in-store.
Sonny Angel delivery days been known to create mild hysteria amongst staff and visitors alike, with many a day-trip to Brighton centred around the purchase of one (or in some cases many more) of these adorable characters. If you've seen some of the shop staff's videos on social media you'll know EXACTLY what I'm talking about!
The very first mini series produced was Animal Version 1 which is still available today. It features the sweet angel boy wearing headgear that represents a Rabbit, Frog, Cockerel, Panda, Koala, Tiger, Elephant, Monkey, Dalmatian, Cheetah, Crocodile and Lion. As with every series, each character comes in a blind box so you have no idea what it might be until you open it and that's definitely all part of the fun.
Current collections include the numerous Animal series together with Hippers, Marine, Sweets, Vegetable, Flower, the limited edition Bugs World (we all want the ladybird!) and brand new in, the Birthday Bear which makes for a sweet gift or cute cake topper.
You'll also find some limited edition seasonal Sonny Angel's too, Santa always leaves one in a stocking here and back in 2020 we were lucky enough to open one of the rare secret characters on Christmas morning. Imagine!
Every series contains a secret chase figure which appears once in every 12 boxes (that's a 1/144 chance of finding one) and an extra special secret figure of which only 10, 50 or 100 are produced worldwide. As you can imagine they often command a premium in the collectible market, not that we would ever part with ours, it takes pride of place amongst the decorations every Christmas.
All of our figures are available both online and in-store but be warned, we might insist that if you do buy one from us in our Brighton store you open it before leaving so we can share in the excitement!

Miffy has been around for rather a long time, finding life at the hands of Dutch Artist, Dick Bruna all the way back in 1955. Dick would tell his eldest son, Sierk, bedtime stories about a little, white bunny, who scampered around the garden of their holiday home. This bunny became the inspiration for Miffy.
Bon Ton Toys have brought Miffy to life in a range of beautiful plush toys made in a variety of colours of fabrics. An internationally renowned supplier of high-quality soft and plush toys established in 1933, all of their toys meet the very highest quality, safety and regulatory standards as well as being ethically produced.
]]>
Many of us have grown up with with this instantly recognisable rabbit and most will remember the gorgeous picture books for pre-schoolers drawn in a graphic style. More than 30 different stories were produced over Dick's lifetime with over 85 million copies sold worldwide.

An internationally renowned supplier of high-quality soft and plush toys established in 1933, all of their toys meet the very highest quality, safety and regulatory standards as well as being ethically produced.
Their mission statement is to bring children happiness but if our own customers are anything to go by Miffy's appeal is universal and definitely not limited to little ones! They are one of our best-sellers in store and visitors young and old make a beeline to the Miffy display to show her a little love, and who can blame them!
The collection is always evolving and by popular demand we've recently expanded our own range to include some of her friends too. Boris the Bear and Snuffy the Dog are joined by a lovely lion and the most excellent elephant.
Our current colour range includes pinks, whites, yellows, greens, blues, greys and oranges. From the smallest little keyring at just 10cam to our extra large Miffy that measures 50cm (and just about everything in between).
Fabrics include a gorgeous chunky corduroy, a cotton muslin, terry and a recycled polyester which is especially cuddly and I think my favourite.
If you are Brighton bound do pop in for a cuddle but if you're further afield you'll find all of current styles online and some of these have made very long journeys across the globe to their happy new homes!

]]>Bobo Choses’ new AW22 collection Forever Now is all about time. What is time? Who is it? What does it want? Whilst it might prove to be a tricky thing for adults to get to grips with this is definitely not the case for children who have their own way of relating to it. For them, time is flexible, malleable, friendly, and a constant present.
]]>
Like previous seasons, Forever Now is a mainly unisex collection with most pieces suited to both boys and girls. Wide, comfortable garments that can be mixed and matched in multiple ways and endless combinations - easy tees and sweatshirts that can be worn with everyday bottoms such as leggings and jogging pants, colourful chino trousers and cool denim pants. Top and blouses that can be combined with skirts and pants and dresses that can be worn on their own now and layered with warm cardigans and jumpers for playful Winter chic, plus all of those lovely details we love from Bobo such as patches and embroideries.
Bobo Choses constantly strive to replace conventional materials with more sustainable ones that have a lower impact on both nature and human health. Jersey, fleece, velour fleece and most of the woven fabrics in the collection are sourced with more responsible materials such as certified organic cotton, and BCI (better cotton initiative). Water-resistant outerwear uses technical fabrics made with recycled polyamide and recycled polyester, and other outerwear items such as polar fleece, sheepskin, and faux jacquard fur are made from recycled textiles.
Bobo's collections are always full of bright and bold colours and this winter is no exception. A mix of beige, earth and brown combine with beautifully bright tones such as pink, fuchsia, and yellow. You'll also find a number of colour-block styles and a range of basic neutral colours such as off-white, ecru, navy, and heather grey, which look great with just about everything! Coral and grey tones have a corrosive finish to give garments a vintage look and an extra soft touch.
Prints this season are fun and bold, incorporating geometric and abstract all-over prints such as hearts, flowers and moons. There’s wordplay (our new favourite day of the week is Friturday!) and typographic prints.
As always you'll find an abundance of Bobo's trademark quirky characters and this season you'll meet cute new friends such as Cat O’Clock, the Sleepy Dog, Ms. Casiopea the Turtle, Mr. O’Clock the Chicken, and the Running Clock to name but a few. These funny characters are the perfect partners to live unique experiences with and lose track of time.
Forever Now AW22 launches Thursday 14th July at 10am BST - don't miss it!

Seyi was inspired to create Kamso after graduating. She became a mother during her last year of university and had noticed that children's clothing lacked the authenticity she associated with African heritage with African inspired clothing often relying heavily on the use of intense prints in their design.
She decided to use the little savings she had to travel to Nigeria and start the process of creating a range of clothing that focussed on the natural beauty of African culture, embracing nature, utilising local craft skills and prioritising community wellbeing. And so, in May 2019 Kamso was born.
Each piece of clothing in every collection is ethically and consciously crafted to the highest quality, with a durability that allows it to be enjoyed and then passed on to others to love. Neutral colours and subdued prints encapsulate a rich culture and many of the pieces are made to be worn by both boys and girls.
Inclusive economic growth and sustainable development is integral to Kamso’s manufacturing model. They directly align with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal through the production of well-crafted clothing using small batch production; ethical trade and labour practices all whilst supporting the local Nigerian economy. And, as the brand continues to grow, the aim is to further promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the region, by establishing an apprenticeship scheme and creating more jobs.
We adore everything about this brand - their ethos and African design elements together with the textiles and colours that showcase traditional craft techniques. We are so excited to be stocking them for the first time this season and have been thrilled with the response to our seasonal selection, its been getting so much love!
We have chosen 11 pieces in 7 styles for the Summer season - the Temi Shirt and Shorts, the Taiwo Skirt/Top (this is such a clever, multi-functional design), the Remi Trousers, the Lola Swing Dress, the Fola Playsuit and the Anuwali Romper. Print designs include Forest Fawn, Blue Tile, Floral Sun, Geo Swirl, Candy Blue and Navy Leaf.
Some size/style combinations have already sold out but if you are hoping for something lovely to complete your little ones summer wardrobe you need look no furthe. The complete collection from this gorgeous brand can be found both online and in our Brighton store for a limited time too!

Bonjour is a family business - Anne and her partner Yorick joined forces to help develop the brand, together creating the trademark aesthetic and imagery that is so loved by parents and their children the world over.

Bonjour is a family business - Anne and her partner Yorick joined forces to help develop the brand, together creating the trademark aesthetic and imagery that is so loved by parents and their children the world over.
We are delighted to be stocking Bonjour here at Junior Edition for our third season now and truly believe that Anne and Yorick have created something really quite magical. Each season they produce the most beautiful collection of clothing showcasing traditional techniques such as embroidery, smocking, quilting and block-printing, all expertly produced by hand in collaboration with their partners in India.
Each limited edition Bonjour collection offers retro-shaped clothing and accessories in exclusive prints on linens and, as with the case with any item that has been handcrafted, each piece is unique in its own small way. Differences to be embraced as part of the beauty of working with natural materials and traditional techniques.
SS22 is our biggest collection yet and comprised of 55 styles at launch - as always with this highly coveted brand some styles and sizes sold out almost as soon as we went live but there are still so many incredible pieces to choose from in 13 print styles - Tropical, Small Pastel Flowers in White, Pink and Violet, Purple and Ecru Gold Polka Dot, Tie Dye, Pink Stripe, Violet Gingham, Pink Dip Dye, Purple Flower Stripe, Purple Check and Ikat.
New styles for the season include a re-worked apron dress which I absolutely adore. The basic shape is still effectively the same and those cute pockets still feature but this years designs showcase an amazing new neck and collar with smocking and pretty embroideries.
You'll also find some gorgeous pieces for women. I had two blouses last summer that I ended up reaching for all the time so I knew I'd be back for another this season! It was so hard to choose between the three prints but I eventually settled on the purple check. It's such a flattering cut - ever so floaty and great for keeping cool in hot weather without having go bare armed. Choose from small and medium - I'm a UK dress size 12 (or so) and 5'8" and find the medium the best fit but the loose cut makes is suitable for a wide range of heights and body shapes.
As well as clothing you must check out the dolls clothing, bags, pillowcases and tablecloths - I love that these gorgeous prints and fabrics are available in a wide range of accessories for use in and outside of the home.
Bonjour, a taste of elsewhere with the scent of yesteryear, online now and in-store for a limited period.
