Miffy has been around for rather a long time, finding life at the hands of Dutch Artist, Dick Bruna all the way back in 1955. Dick would tell his eldest son, Sierk, bedtime stories about a little, white bunny, who scampered around the garden of their holiday home. This bunny became the inspiration for Miffy.

Many of us have grown up with with this instantly recognisable rabbit and most will remember the gorgeous picture books for pre-schoolers drawn in a graphic style. More than 30 different stories were produced over Dick's lifetime with over 85 million copies sold worldwide.

Bon Ton Toys have brought Miffy to life in a range of beautiful plush toys made in a variety of colours of fabrics. An internationally renowned supplier of high-quality soft and plush toys established in 1933, all of their toys meet the very highest quality, safety and regulatory standards as well as being ethically produced.

Their mission statement is to bring children happiness but if our own customers are anything to go by Miffy's appeal is universal and definitely not limited to little ones! They are one of our best-sellers in store and visitors young and old make a beeline to the Miffy display to show her a little love, and who can blame them!

The collection is always evolving and by popular demand we've recently expanded our own range to include some of her friends too. Boris the Bear and Snuffy the Dog are joined by a lovely lion and the most excellent elephant.

Our current colour range includes pinks, whites, yellows, greens, blues, greys and oranges. From the smallest little keyring at just 10cam to our extra large Miffy that measures 50cm (and just about everything in between).

Fabrics include a gorgeous chunky corduroy, a cotton muslin, terry and a recycled polyester which is especially cuddly and I think my favourite.

If you are Brighton bound do pop in for a cuddle but if you're further afield you'll find all of current styles online and some of these have made very long journeys across the globe to their happy new homes!
