Nineteen Seventy Three was founded in Brighton in 2003 by Emma and James Emmerson, and named after the year they were both born. Inspired by a shared love of cool design and typography, Emma and James collaborate with talented illustrators and designers to create contemporary designs that incorporate both cutting-edge and traditional printing techniques, such as letterpress printing on vintage Heidelberg’s and hand-stitched book bindings.
