All Aboard! Mini Rodini on the Trans-Siberian Railway
Mini Rodini are a firm favourite here at Junior Edition - they are one of our longest standing brands and like you, we love their quirky and colourful prints, the superb quality (their clothing washes and wears SO well) and most importantly of all, that everything is manufactured with care for animals, people and the planet.
Their latest collection is an absolute corker and draws its inspiration from the slow and romantic journey by train across the continent on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Prints and styles represent a number of different stops en route that include Stockholm, Moscow, Ulan Bator, Beijing and Seoul.
If you follow us on instagram you will have no doubt already seen me raving about the peonies print at any given opportunity! It really is such a striking print in the most gorgeous red, green and gold. Spanning multiple styles, from shorts, skorts, short-sleeved shirts and a sun cap for those balmy days ahead to some super stylish paper-bag woven trousers, an incredible baseball jacket and several dresses that include the beautiful woven puff sleeve dress made from 100% GOTS-certified woven organic cotton. The dress is designed with a high waist and a flared long skirt, and has snap buttons in the back for easy dressing, its absolutely stunning on and I think is my favourite piece from the collection so far.
Moving from flora to fauna, rabbits have so far featured in both drops. A bow-tie wearing rabbit print in drop 1 comes in almost every style imaginable with the gorgeous water and windproof sporty jacket proving to be especially popular. More rabbits joined in drop 2 - beautifully bright yellows and blues include a lovely single rabbit-head print balloon sleeve top and tulle skirt with 'Mini Rodini' printed in Mandarin on the elastic waist. Plus, an all-over rabbit print that comes in both black and multi-colour. The baby pieces are especially cute in this print (and come as small as newborn) whilst for older kids there are some fab leggings and tees and a dress that is on the wish list here for Easter!
Fun food stuffs also feature with lots of luscious strawberries and cherry lemonade! A broad selection of great sweats in the strawberry print which look fab teamed with the cute cap. Mix and match the off-white and grey melange, they really compliment each other. You'll also find all the fruits across yellow and green mesh sunhats (from 9 months to 9 years) plus strawberry ribbed leggings, tights and socks - a really cute print that your little ones are bound to love.
I'm wrapping up with a drop 2 favourite, the MAGNIFICENT satin rabbit baseball jacket in an eye-popping electric blue featuring an embroidered rabbit on the front and Mini Rodini in embroidered in Mandarin on the back. This, for me, is where Mini Rodini really impress. This jacket made in 100% GRS-certified recycled polyester (the strictest certification for recycled material on the market today) and has water repellent qualities courtesy of a BIONIC-FINISH® ECO coating - a safe and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional water-repellent finishes, free from fluorocarbons and other hazardous chemicals including PFCs, formaldehyde and paraffin. It really is a thing of beauty and is available from 9 months (can you imagine how cool that baby will look!) all the way up to 11 years.
