The New Society is a truly beautiful collection of clothes for both children and women created by Estefania Grandio in Madrid. Designed with sustainability and made in Europe using organic fabrics, it is our third season with this beautiful brand.

Their SS21 collection is called The Sea Side Of Life  -  as seaside dwelling folks ourselves it was always going to be a concept we were going to fall in love with, even if Brighton isn't quite as evocative of sunny, sandy days as the med!

The Sea Side of Life is a place where you can smell salt everywhere, where your skin has a nice tan colour, where you feel happy and full of energy, like a morning walk close to the sea. The salty breeze touches your face and your soul to make you feel the endless happiness, the everlasting dream.

Having taken up sea swimming this last year (yep, even on the coldest of winter days in snow flurries) I appreciate the positive energy of being by the sea more than ever before. It is so beautifully reflected in this collection through the use of organic and recycled fabrics, raw materials, textures, checks & conventional prints together with the new shapes that are used to compose their summer story.

The short sleeve Dylan playsuit (above) is definitely one of the stand-out pieces of the season for me. It has a V-ruffle front detail and back opening with tie closure.  Made from 100% organic flamé cotton with woven checks in soft blue and caramel based in the fabric’s natural colour. As much as I adore dresses I often find myself drawn to shorts style outfits, perhaps because that is more often what I wore as a child myself, spending hours and hours in the woodland near my house, returning only to eat dinner because it was absolutely fine to set your young children loose for the entire day in the early 80's!

The New Society really do excel at teaming practical with pretty and I love the soft denim shorts and pants this season. Lots of fab t-shirts to pair with them but also some really pretty shirts and blouses. The Rachel blouse is proving popular and comes in several styles - it has short puffed sleeves and square neckline with ruffle detail, and is made from organic cotton. Fab with the denim or wear together with the matching shorts in coral gingham check.

This collection features the prettiest daisy flower print which comes across several styles including a beautiful baby romper from 6-24 months, a women's blouse and dresses for both kids and adults. Made from 100% organic cotton muslin the Jane dress for women features a honeycomb smocked chest, mid length skirt and voluminous sleeves. If twinning, or even tripleting, is your thing these pieces are absolutely gorgeous.

It's our first season stocking The New Society Womenswear and we are delighted to introduce 16 pieces for the Spring/Summer season. We have dresses, blouses, t-shirts, vest tops, denim pants, a tote bag and several really beautiful knits including this lovely front buttoning knitted jacket in a natural colour with collar detail.

I adore this brand and love the inspiration behind their name - the idea of a new generation, a society with heightened awareness that encourages people to come together and take care of one another, which for me resonates now more than ever before.

This is a collection that has a little bit of everything, from denim and tees through to pretty dresses and knitwear. We took onboard all of the requests to go bigger this season and are delighted to now stock The New Society up to age 12 as well as introducing womenswear to our range.
