Medium Pouch in Check Navy / White by Robinson. Medium cotton pouch with a zip closure. Developed in collaboration with Robinson and the historic workshop Okamoto Shoten, these Kurume “kasuri” pouches honor one of Japan’s most emblematic textile traditions. Unlike ordinary textiles, kasuri is not printed after weaving. Each thread is individually dyed beforehand — a meticulous, time honored process requiring exceptional skill and precision. As the fabric is woven, these pre-dyed threads form patterns with soft, naturally blurred edges. This signature “kasuri” effect gives each pouch its poetic, almost hand-painted appearance. Every motif embodies patience, craftsmanship, and a heritage refined over more than two centuries.
