Swan by Schleich. Hand painted animal figurine by Scheich. The Swan has a pronounced black knob at the base of its beak and is known as “Mute” which refers to the fact that this species is less vocal than other swan species. These large birds are part of the water fowl order and prefer to live by lakes and ponds. They feed on water plants and small animals. When foraging for food they dabble with their long necks and heads in the water. Once a year they malt to get rid of their old plumage and renew their feathers.

All Schleich articles and materials comply with the national and international toy requirements applicable worldwide, as well as the new European Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC and DIN EN 71.
