We are delighted to welcome beautiful French brand Bachaā to Junior Edition for the first time this season. Created in Paris in 2019 as an expression of a love for, and connection to India, the name Bachaā is the phonetic transcription of the  name that parents affectionately give to their children in Hindi (pronounced BaTchaA).

Bachaā create the prettiest clothing using artisanal processes such as block printing and hand embroidered detailing, for this reason no two garments are quite the same, every piece has its own slice of unique!

We were drawn not only to the designs and craftsmanship of Bachaā but to their strong ethical and environment values and credentials too. This is a brand that is committed to responsible manufacturing, favouring textiles that are organically produced, dyes that are made on site and trims that are most often sourced from the local Indian market. The garments themselves are made by a skilled workforce with trading and production practices strictly adhered to. The brand's belief is one that we share here at Junior Edition - if you create, sell or wear a garment, you also bear responsibility for its manufacturing process.

The care and passion that goes into creating a Bachaā garment is undeniable and their Spring/Summer collection really is a thing of beauty with our selection this season consisting of twelve really beautiful pieces.

One of my favourite combinations from this collection has to be the strawberry covered Lorette Blouse and Suzy Pants, both available from 2 to 10 years. Made from organic cotton, both the blouse and the pants feature strawberries that are block-printed by hand with a wooden stamp. The harem style pants offer wonderful freedom of movement and are smocked at the waist and ankle - gorgeous separates that work really well together and look fabulous with a pair of Saltwater Sandals.

There really is so much beauty in the pieces that feature hand embroidery - the Ninon dress comes in a striking Pistachio and features both the block print and hand embroidery detailing to the chest. This is a midi dress in organic cotton voile with ruffled sleeves and it features a knot in the back to adjust the dress for a perfect fit. If you like this dress I would recommend also taking a look at the Julia Dress in Lemonade Green which is a similar shape and again features some pretty hand embroidery on the chest.

The Violette print is gorgeous and I adore the Garance Jumpsuit, if only this was made in adult sizes! It features some really pretty detailing and straps that are knotted at the shoulder to ensure flexibility and longevity in fit. The Garance Jumpsuit, Capucine Dress and Hortense Blouse in this print are all available in 2-10 years and the jumpsuit is seen paired here with the prettiest Guilia buckled sandals in metallic gold leather by PèPè shoes.

The Lisette dress is both simple and chic. A shorter style dress in organic cotton voile with white flower hand embroideries and other delicate detailing. The back tie allows for subtle adjustments to fit and the dress is fully lined with a plain cotton voile. As with the rest of the collection, this stunning dress is also available in 2-10 years, whilst stocks last.
