We are delighted to welcome luxury footwear brand Young Soles to Junior Edition for the first time this season. Having owned their designs and admired their workmanship for a number of years, it has been a real thrill to finally be able to add them to our growing footwear collection.

Owner, Founder and Creative Director, Louise Shill has, as you would expect, a wealth of experience in the footwear sector with a long history of developing styles around the world for other brands. Having spotted a gap in the market for classic yet cool children's shoes following the birth of her own daughter, she set about creating a line of her very own!

Young Soles shoes are designed in East London and are the perfect blend of classic British heritage and retro-cool. They encapsulate everything you want from a children's shoe with everything from fit to materials and construction being very carefully considered.

The lasts (the 3D mould upon which the shoe is constructed) follow the shape of the foot with a wide toe and narrow heel, and soft, supple leather is used to make uppers and linings, allowing the upper to mould to the contours of the foot and the lightweight and flexible outsole works spectacularly well for growing feet and first steps.

The Rosie T-bar shoes is Young Soles' signature shoe, inspired by a T-Bar Louise's brother wore as a child and named after her daughter. This is such a beautifully classic design, featuring a single buckle T-Bar and distinctive butterfly punch detailing as well as a lightweight EVA sole. I think this might just nudge into first place as my favourite style and we are carrying it in three colours this season - black, clay and chesnut.

Who doesn't love a Brogue? It's a design classic that quite rightly has transcended through the centuries. As you would expect, Young Soles have taken the traditional brogue into dapper new territory with heritage brogue punch detailing and the Young Soles signature lightweight EVA sole. Super stylish and just brilliant styled with brights. Available in Black and Burnished Tan with sizes starting as small as EUR 24 (UK 7) and going all the way up to EUR 35 (UK 2.5).

We have two shoes in a gorgeous Cognac colour - the Dolly Velcro Mary-Jane and the Lucy Double Strap T-Bar. Both of these styles feature straps with the cleverly disguised Velcro fastening (honestly isn't that just genius?!). The Dolly has heritage brogue punch detail and a luxury padded collar and the Lucy dragonfly punch detail and both have the lightweight flexible TR rubber sole. I honestly couldn't choose a favourite between these two, both are absolutely gorgeous.

I couldn't not include the Parker velcro T-bar shoes, these are the shoes of my own childhood, I vividly remember seeing my own brother wearing these in the late 70's with school regulation grey ribbed knee high socks and shorts - they completely take me back and I ADORE them for this reason. This shoe features the brilliantly practical velcro mock buckle fastening, completely removable contoured cushioned insole, an ice coloured rubber sole and corded vamp detail. I love the burnished tan which we also carry as well as the clay seen here.

Made in Europe, using only the highest quality materials, Young Soles' simple, classic designs are versatile enough to work with scores of outfits from jeans to the prettiest of dresses and sturdy enough to cope with any adventure!

Further styles include the Sidney Brogue Boots, Dottie T-Bar Shoe, Pearl Sandals and Penny Velcro T-Bar Shoe all of which can be found online in our Spring/Summer selection from Young Soles.
