Sonny Angel

Sonny Angel

Sonny Angel hails from Japan. Born all the way back in 2004, the very first version was actually a doll that stood at 18cm tall and not the miniature we know and love today.

We've been stocking the Sonny Angel figures for longer than anyone here can even remember (I did ask). All we are sure of is that they've been with us at Junior Edition almost as long as we have been here ourselves and, due to the ever-evolving themes, continue to be  a perennial favourite both online and in-store.

Miffy and Friends

Miffy and Friends

Miffy has been around for rather a long time, finding life at the hands of Dutch Artist, Dick Bruna all the way back in 1955. Dick would tell his eldest son, Sierk, bedtime stories about a little, white bunny, who scampered around the garden of their holiday home. This bunny became the inspiration for Miffy.

Bon Ton Toys have brought Miffy to life in a range of beautiful plush toys made in a variety of colours of fabrics. An internationally renowned supplier of high-quality soft and plush toys established in 1933, all of their toys meet the very highest quality, safety and regulatory standards as well as being ethically produced.

Bobo Choses Forever Now

Bobo Choses Forever Now

Bobo Choses’ new AW22 collection Forever Now is all about time. What is time? Who is it? What does it want? Whilst it might prove to be a tricky thing for adults to get to grips with this is definitely not the case for children who have their own way of relating to it. For them, time is flexible, malleable, friendly, and a constant present.

Kamso: Inspired by African Heritage

Kamso: Inspired by African Heritage

We are delighted to welcome Kamso to Junior Edition for the first time this season. Founded by Seyi Sokoya, it is the most beautiful children's lifestyle brand, ethically made and inspired by African heritage. For boys and girls up to 8 years of age.

Seyi was inspired to create Kamso after graduating. She became a mother during her last year of university and had noticed that children's clothing lacked the authenticity she associated with African heritage with African inspired clothing often relying heavily on the use of intense prints in their design.

1+ In The Family: Soft and Comfortable Baby Clothing

1+ In The Family: Soft and Comfortable Baby Clothing

1+ In The Family first launched back in the Autumn of 2012 and was created by Gemma Mases, an experienced designer who is mum to three children herself and, by her admission, something of a children's fashion enthusiast!

The brand launch coincided at with the birth of the designer's niece, little baby Bruna and, as Gemma recounts, it is her sisters brave decision to start a family as a single mother that encouraged her to undertake a project that she had been dreaming for so long, and so 1+ In The Family was also born.

Say Hello To Bonjour

Say Hello To Bonjour

Bonjour was created in 2014 by Anne Millet. A stylist in children's fashion for over 20 years, she wanted to create a more personal universe, one influenced by a love of travel and the colours and textures found in far flung flea markets.

Bonjour is a family business - Anne and her partner Yorick joined forces to help develop the brand, together creating the trademark aesthetic and imagery that is so loved by parents and their children the world over.

We are delighted to be stocking Bonjour here at Junior Edition for our third season now and truly believe that Anne and Yorick have created something really quite magical.

Oeuf: Heavy Petal

Oeuf: Heavy Petal

Brooklyn based Oeuf are a family-run studio and one of our longest-standing sustainable children’s brands. Combining intuitive design with a clean and simple style this is clothing that is designed to be loved hard and handed down. We know from personal experience how well it wears and washes and how enduring the styles and designs are having been passed from one child to the next here.

The slow fashion ethos is central to everything they do and great care goes into the design and production of each piece in every collection. Prints are hand-painted and always exclusive to Birinit, fabrics carefully selected and retailers limited to few.
