Wynken: Fiesta Forever
Wynken is the most beautiful fashion brand from London, creating childrenswear that we stock from 6 months all the way up to 12 years. Established in 2014, Elbe Lealman (formerly Head Designer at the fabulous 'Folk') created Wynken after becoming a mother, realising her dream of creating a contemporary and creative children's clothing collection with a strong design and quality focus. Clothing that parents love to buy and children love to wear!
Their AW20 collection is a little bit fabulous. “Fiesta Forever” is inspired by the song “All night long” by Lionel Richie and fond memories of being carefree and dancing until dawn, I can just about cast my mind back to those glorious days, when I was out until sunrise rather than reluctantly getting up at that time!
Fiesta Forever is a gloriously rich collection, muted tones combine with colours that pop! There are textured fabrics, beautifully bold prints, soft velour and faux fur jerseys and chunky alpaca knits. Colours include mallow pink, umber, otomi blue and buff and buttermilk tones together with burgundy and fiesta green plaid.
I honestly don't know where to start with picking out a few of my favourites, I'm definitely a huge fan of the cat print, seen above in blue in the slouch sweatpants and also available in a sweatshirt in the same colour-way. There has been LOTS of chatter online about the beautiful pink dress and that same print also comes in a lovely buff long sleeve tee and leggings in both baby and kid sizes.
Wynken produce garments in a variety of textures and fabrics and their AW20 collection boasts some gloriously cuddly faux fur and sheepskin. The oatmeal pieces are proving hugely popular already with sizes in some styles already sold out in spite of the heatwave we've been experiencing!
There are also some really beautiful knitted cardigans this season in INCREDIBLE colours, the Fiesta Pink just pops and looks wonderful with pretty much everything! It's a super soft, fluffy cardigan with natural insulating properties due to hollow alpaca fibres. It has a dropped shoulder with loose fitting body knitted in chunky english rib stitch and is buttoned with faux horn buttons, it's stunning!
So many more beautiful pieces make up this collection, I think we have somewhere in the region of 50 individual items online!
We are also thrilled to announce that our shop in Brighton's vibrant North Laine has re-opened! For anyone already familiar with the store, things are a little bit different - we've had a bit of a re-jig and pared back the product available to make for a better and safer shopping experience. There are still lots of really wonderful things to choose from and you will find a carefully curated collection of toys, books and homewares together with new season clothing from Bobo Choses and Mini Rodini plus Gray Label, Poudre Organic and Liewood.
