Isabel Thomas is a science writer and children's author.  She has written more than 140 books for young people and has been shortlisted for the ASE Science Book of the Year, the Royal Society Young People's Book Prize and the Blue Peter Book Awards.  Isabel also writes for children's science magazines Whizz Pop Bang! and The Week Junior.  Anke Weckmann is a German-born freelance illustrator, who honed her craft at Camberwell College of Art and Kingston University.  Her work has appeared in magazines, books, advertising, on greeting cards, products and more.  Drawing is her favourite thing to do and she is obsessed with characters, shapes, colours and lettering.  Her illustrations are hand-inked on paper and digitally coloured.  She lives in London with her husband James.
