Inspired by the work of the sculptor and printmaker Kim Lim, the 17th collection, is a vibrant ode to her enduring themes of space, rhythm, and light. Lim's art invites us to pause, to see movement and form as dynamic forces. Her ability to create harmony in repetition and balance in stillness finds new life here. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted, featuring bold abstract prints, flowing rhythmic patterns, soft, inviting textures, and bursting with saturated colours.
As the winter light melts into a fading dusk, the house hums with warmth. Inside, among friends, a cheerful, light-hearted daring turns a mundane afternoon into small delights. The air is alive with the happy noise of clattering feet chasing after ideas too exciting to explain, the cheers of winning games, and the shrieks of laughter rippling through the rooms. Every corner tells its own story: the cacophonous clatter of a board game, the muffled giggles from a shared feast, and the simple joy of being together.
When cabin fever sets in, the call of the outside becomes irresistible. The friends play amongst sculptural works inspired by Kim Lim's minimalist designs. The warmth of these moments, captured in candid snapshots, the spontaneity and joy of childhood – friends playing, imagining, and creating together in cosy, familiar settings, both inside and out.
