Kid Made Modern by Todd Oldham
Brand AMMO Books
Designer Todd Oldham shares his love and admiration of Midcentury design ideas in the second volume of his ongoing book series, Hand Made Modern. Kid Made Modern focusses on creative, colourful, and thoughtful projects for kids, from a cardboard box fort inspired by architect Luis Barragán to window deocrations made from painted paper inspired by designer Russel Wright. One part design primer and two parts handmade fun, Kid Made Modern introduces kids to Midcentury design heroes with fifty-two playful, simple-to-make craft projects. Using inexpensive, easily accessible, and often recycled materials combined with clear photography and easy-to-follow steps, kids and parents alike will have fun with the projects in Kid Made Modern and find the designers' information educational as well.
Design icons featured in Kid Made Modern include Luis Barragán, Alexander Calder, Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard, Isamu Noguchi, Paul Rand, Eva Zeisel and many others!
