W.I.M.A.M.P. by Bobo Choses
For this capsule collection Bobo Choses asked kids from around the world to make drawings related to a specific environmental issue of global relevance. This is how the W.I.M.A.M.P. (worldwide inventive minds against monsters of pollution) squad came about. Wimamps come in all ages from all over the world, they are very creative, seriously funny, and have strong awareness and profound respect towards the environment.
The W.I.M.A.M.P. capsule collection will spread kids’ ideas around the world to inspire both parents and children. The collection displays kid’s drawings as allover prints on garments made out of recycled/eco fabrics and materials.
Love and care for the animal kingdom is the main topic for the 2018 collection. Bobo Choses asked children around the world what did they have in common with an animal; what would they say to a poacher to stop him hurting animals; what does a happy animal looks like, and to design a house where people and animals could live together. Children from Poland, Denmark, UK, Spain, Korea and Japan have participated with their drawings.
By purchasing W.I.M.A.M.P. garments you are helping to fund the Jane Goodall Foundation’s Roots & Shoots programme for preserving endangered chimpanzees in Senegal, raising awareness among children about the importance of the ecosystem in which they live and to creating activities to protect it, fostering proactivity, empathy and cooperation.
Every purchase comes with a friendly form/postcard that kids can fill with their ideas on how to put the world right and send to Bobo Choses to become a W.I.M.A.M.P. member and receive a special badge emblem. They will also be able to join W.I.M.A.M.P. minisite and share thoughts, drawings or pictures of activities concerning sea preservation, and they can get in touch with other Wimamps from around the world.
