The Black Forest Stallion from the Schleich® Farm World has a very dynamic pose. It shows how powerful and vigorous the Black Forest cold blood horses are. The animals are also known as “Wälderpferde” (Woods Horse) because they used to help with heavy forestry work. These days the lively Black Forest cold bloods are mainly popular as recreational horses and are used for riding or to pull carriages and sleighs.

Fun fact: The Black Forest cold blood is very rare and therefore rated as an endangered native working animal breed.

Only once a product meets fully all international laws, standards and guidelines for toys is it released for production.  All Schleich articles and materials comply with the national and international toy requirements applicable worldwide, as well as the new European Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC and DIN EN 71.
