Misha and Puff

Misha and Puff

We love it when there is buzz around a brand or a collection and Misha & Puff has brought it in bucketloads these last couple of weeks! We had so many messages from customers dying to find out what we are stocking this season and the enthusiasm has been infectious, we were so excited to make the collection live yesterday at 3pm (or so, after a hugely stressful technical glitch!) and we couldn't be more grateful for your response, thank you for each and every one of your glorious orders which we are pleased to say will be winging their way to you early next week.

For anyone not familiar with Misha & Puff, the brand was founded by stylist Anna Wallack in 2011. From the humble beginnings of the very first season when handmade samples were personally carried shop-to-shop to generate interest, Misha & Puff has grown into the business we know and love today. Crucially there is one thing that hasn't changed in all that time and that is the ethos that is central the brand, to make things the best way possible, in the nicest way possible.

Each Misha & Puff piece is thoughtfully designed before being lovingly handcrafted in Peru by a team of dedicated and talented knitters, all of whom are very much part of the Misha & Puff family and many of which have been a part of the team since the very beginning. The knitters take great pride in their creations (rightfully so because they are things of beauty!) and on the hang tag of each garment you will find the name of the person responsible for creating that individual item.

Working with premium natural fibres, the merino in Misha and Puff designs is incredibly soft, hard-wearing and itch-free whilst the hand-dying process creates a truly unique and rich depth of colour. SS20 also features luxurious pima cotton yarn and the new collection is perfect for those sunny days ahead.

The ever-popular popcorn sweaters and cardigans return in the prettiest colour palate - vanilla, caramel, coral, dusty blue, sunflower and faded space dye. It's so hard to choose a favourite but I think it's the dusty blue that has my heart this season, available from 12 months all the way up to 8 years.

The must have item of the season has to be the skating pond skirt which completely sold out in all seven colour-ways in just a couple of hours! We can't wait for your images to start filtering though on instagram (please do tag us) as it was one of our personal favourites this season too. Pleated, and complete with attached bloomers this piece encapsulates Misha & Puff's signature style, combining beauty with practicality.

If knitwear isn't your thing there are some lovely pieces in organic pima cotton carrying the beautiful orchard design. We have the balloon romper, collar tee, cycling shorts and the scout dress (pictured) available in both mint and sunflower. The dress is just so easy to style with a built-in kerchief together with a ruffle hem. Just beautiful.

There are some beautiful t-strap shoes and sandals too, which are so versatile and would look fab with just about everything.

Misha and Puff clothes are built to last, and meant to be passed down. Shop the full collection online here and prepare to be wowed!

The Animals Observatory X Reebok

The Animals Observatory X Reebok

If you were to look up the phrase 'Match made in Heaven' online we're pretty sure that The Animals Observatory's collaboration with global sportswear brand Reebok would be way up there, it's THE most fantastic thing.

Taking both a unique and fashionable approach to children’s trainers and pulling inspiration from the colours and textures of the season, these iconic Reebok styles pay homage to the vintage look and bold designs that both brands are renowned for.

We were lucky enough to be invited to the official launch party in London last week where we literally drooled all over the 4 designs that we have been lusting after behind the scenes for so long. We were really excited to have a good chat with TAO's Creative Director Laia Aguilar and may or may not have spent quite some time at the kids craft table making sock puppets from TAO socks ; )

Available at a just few select global stockists, Junior Edition are hugely excited to be representing this collection in the UK.

Arriving in store in this week and launching online on Monday 10th December we will be stocking all 4 designs across both baby and children's sizes. Starting at EUR 20 right through to EUR 34 we are absolutely thrilled to reveal that we will also be carrying EUR 38 and 39 for the smaller footed mamas out there!

The launch of this collection marks our first real foray into footwear which we will continue to grow throughout 2019 with a dedicated area being developed in-store very soon.

We'd love to see you here in Brighton, we are nestled in the heart of the beautiful North Laine area and have so many lovely Christmas gifts and festive party-ware in addition to our clothing collections. If you can't make it down to see us, the collection is available online here whilst stock lasts - we ship globally with express shipping options available for those last minute purchases!

Amy and Ivor - Feet Friendly Footwear

Amy and Ivor - Feet Friendly Footwear

Baby feet. Right now I can't think of anything in the world cuter than those teeny toes on tiny feet and oh the excitement when the wee one takes their first steps! I remember my joy lasting approximately one whole hour before I realised what this truly meant.....what a game-changer!!!

Amy & Ivor children's footwear is a small business established and run by mum Alice Hedley. They are passionate about baby feet and their soft structure and breathable leather moccasins are kind to developing feet, recognising that the soft bone structure of a child’s foot is better left to grow unrestricted.

We have a great selection of their fabulous shoes here at Junior Edition and are huge fans of these beautifully soft creations.

With winter dealing some really cold spells the fluffy yeti moccasins in burnt sienna and black are proving to be a real hit. A modern and simple, well fitting foot shaped design, with unique combination of colour blocking, printed leather and fringe detail at the front. They are so easy to put on and the elasticated design really does stay on little feet.

The simple fringed moccasin is perhaps their most iconic shoe and we stock it here in nude, slate, and burnt sienna. Made from baby safe vegetable tanned chrome free leather that is naturally soft, supple and breathable. The soft soled structure is kind even to the tiniest of developing feet and is the best footwear for their developing sense of balance.

As young children start to move and develop motor skills its important not to hinder them with heavily structured and cumbersome footwear. That doesn't mean that boot styles need to be ruled out though and Amy and Ivor have created a beautiful range of high tops. As with all of their shoes the soft leather sole is ideal for indoor and light outdoor use in dry conditions, protecting little feet and allowing young walkers to still feel the surfaces they tread upon.

Winner of numerous awards, Amy & Ivor has gained recognition as the best and most stylish footwear choice for small people. With an ethical and environmentally conscious mindset, they have strived to source the best quality and most eco friendly and safest materials to use in their shoes.

We stock Amy and Ivor shoes in sizes 1-4 which effectively covers up to 18 months. Indulge yourself further with a look at our complete collection here or come visit our store in the heart of Brighton's North Laine area and see these beautiful shoes for yourself!
