One Family: Three Beautiful Brands
Rylee and Cru have been with us since SS18. Founded by Californian Illustrator Kelli Murray Larson and inspired by her own young family, their collections are brimming with high quality basics. Timeless, comfortable and easy-to-wear styles in soft and subtle seasonal colour palettes and prints, for babies right through to adult.
More recently the Rylee and Cru collective have added two new brands to their portfolio, Noralee and Quincy Mae, both of which are delighted to be stocking for the first time this season.
Talking Bobo!
Talking Bobo is a way of being. Non-sensical to adults but a very real and natural way of being for children, where imaginations run wild and reality is turned on its head.
The collection itself is born out of a series of original stories and poems (also available to buy) that eventually come to life in the form of prints and shapes you find in every range from the magical universe of Bobo Choses.
In-Store Preview Shopping Event - Talking Bobo
We are extra excited to throw open the doors to our beautiful Brighton shop this week as we are hosting an exclusive in-store preview shopping event for the very latest collection from the brilliant Bobo Choses.
Talking Bobo is the very first collection to launch for the forthcoming Autumn/Winter season and we are are thrilled to be able to invite you for an exclusive first look from the 11th to the 14th July, ahead of the online launch this Thursday 15th July.
Emile et Ida
Emile et Ida's collections are always brimming with cheerful designs that are easy to wear. Fabrics are soft and natural and folk, rock, romantic and retro influences can be often be felt. Their clothing is simple and comfortable, never boring and most importantly of all, perfectly suited to the busy and active life of a child.
The brand's creators, Delpine and Céline, are themselves the grandchildren of tailors and Emile et Ida started life in the family home, supported and encouraged by those closest to them and grown through hard work, perseverance and the desire to create something special.
Poudre Organic: Para Sempre
Poudre Organic is the brainchild of Manon and Quentin who, having struggled to find affordable ecological and natural clothing for their third child, started to make a range of simple, practical and beautiful clothing for their daughters. Inspired by fabrics such as organic cotton muslin gauze and traditional, vintage styling this evolved into a much admired collection of clothing that other people both loved and wanted too and so in 2014, Poudre Organic was born.
As the name itself suggests, everything in the collection is organic and the clothing itself is ethically made in Portugal using only the softest organic cottons that are GOTS and OEKO-TEX certified as well as other low energy materials such as linen. Their designs are lovingly put together in small scale surroundings where the name of every seamstress is known to Manon and Quentin.
All Aboard! Mini Rodini on the Trans-Siberian Railway
Mini Rodini are a firm favourite here at Junior Edition - they are one of our longest standing brands and like you, we love their quirky and colourful prints, the quality (their clothing washes and wears SO well) and most importantly of all, that everything is manufactured with care for animals, people and the planet.
Their latest collection is an absolute corker and draws its inspiration from the slow and romantic journey by train across the continent on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Prints and styles represent a number of different stops en route that include Stockholm, Moscow, Ulan Bator, Beijing and Seoul.
Bobo Choses: For President
Bobo Choses is our first Spring/Summer collection of the year and WOW! What a way to start... For President is everything we love about Bobo - soft naturals meet beautiful bolds and quirky, colourful prints abound.
Ear-to-ear smiles, friendly pet lions, funny pepper presidential candidates, big tomatoes and smiley-fingered hands - this collection is SO much fun and one the kids are guaranteed to enjoy wearing.
Emile et Ida: AW20 - Au Clair De La Lune
Emile et Ida, hailing from France, is the brainchild of brand creators Delphine and Céline whose family history is steeped in fashion. The grandchildren of tailors, Emile et Ida was established in 2010 as a tribute to their parents and is a brand renowned for its soft and natural fabrics, retro vibe and subtle colour palette.
Their AW20 collection is nothing short of sensational and EEEEEP in comes in grown-up sizes too!!
Rylee + Cru AW20: Enchanted Forest
Rylee + Cru is a gorgeous childrenswear collection founded by Californian illustrator Kelli Murray and designed in the United States, drawing inspiration from her own young family. There is an inherently vintage feel to her collections; each garment is hand-dyed and super soft making the clothes as comfortable as they are beautiful to wear.
Their latest collection, entitled 'Enchanted Forest' draws inspiration from enchantment and the extraordinary imagination of children, a magical place that reveals a world of mystery. Cast your mind back to being a child, running through the forest, building forts and becoming fairies in a kingdom surrounded by wild life where mushrooms and wild flowers form a pretty blanket on the forest floor. This collection is just SO PERFECT for Autumn!

It's here! The eagerly awaited AW20 collection by Bobo Choses, The Catalogue of Marvellous Trades.
Firstly, WOW What a week last week! And what a BUZZ launch day was! Drop 1 landed with us on Thursday 16th July and the excitement in the days that ran up to launch was palpable. We always thought this collection was something pretty special and to see that cross-over amongst all of our wonderful customers really was a joy to behold, thanks to each and every one of you for your orders.
Summer at Home with Liewood
Stunning Stella McCartney
Stella Kids is one of our newer brands (it's our second season with them) but also one of our larger ranges, the collections are fun, modern and playful, very much designed with the joyful spirit and energy of kids in mind.
Stella McCartney needs little introduction, born and raised in London and the English countryside she graduated from the world renowned arts and design collage, Central St Martins, in 1995 to pursue an incredibly successful career in fashion. Following a successful tenure as Creative Director at Chloe, she launched her own label back in 2001 with Stella Kids following in 2010.
The Stella Kids range stays true to the mainline fashion collection and many of the pieces take their inspiration from there. Combine this with an explosion of colour and punchy prints and you have a fun, ethical, sustainable and cruelty-free collection that fun-loving kids can't wait to wear!
I'm not sure if it is a global phenomenon or something we are only seeing in the UK but children everywhere are making rainbows to put in the windows to spread a bit of cheer. We have made one ourselves and from my bedroom I can see 3 or 4 other houses in the street with them up, some big, some small but all lovely so it seems rather timely to see so many rainbows in the Stella Kids SS20 collection, we ADORE them!
With over 40 rainbow themed items its almost impossible to highlight a couple of favourites - we have swimwear, shorts, sweatshirts, dresses, sliders, skirts, bags, joggers, rompers, jumpers and tees and probably one or two things in-between I've missed!
The swimwear is really, really lovely, we have a gorgeous swimsuit and bikini which look absolutely fab and so much fun paired with the sliders and sunglasses!
I also have a lot of love for the hearts this season, a bold and absolutely beautiful print that can be found across a number of swimwear items, including some brilliant swim shorts for the boys, the prettiest little sleeveless baby all in one and my personal favourite, the stunning 3/4 sleeve skirt dress with a drop waist!
And finally, the signature military jacket is an absolute must-have, we've had so many of these over the years and they always draw so much positive attention. It's just one of those pieces that looks great with EVERYTHING!

Whilst our bricks and mortar shop in Brighton remains closed for now our online shop continues to operate as normal and we have added some additional courier options to help with quicker delivery times worldwide.
