Repose: The Other Side of Paradise

Repose: The Other Side of Paradise

Clothing wise it's been one the most unusual to date, with collections trickling through in multiple drops across almost all brands due to impact on production and distribution during this tumultuous year.

One brand that was already doing things differently (and by their own free will I hasten to add) is Amsterdam based Repose AMS who moved to a refreshingly different approach to selling clothes at the end of 2019, releasing four collections across the year - two main and two capsule, aimed at bucking the trend of selling summer shorts in February and winter coats in July.

Mini Rodini AW20: Für Elise

Mini Rodini AW20: Für Elise

Mini Rodini never fail to impress; quirky, colourful prints that work as hard as kids play! It's one of those brands that is fun to buy and even more exciting to launch as little is revealed by way of 'sneak peaks' beyond the name of the collection. We get such a buzz launching the product after weeks of speculation on social media and there are always a few absolute gems in there that get folks super excited, and this season was no exception!

Autumn/Winter 2020 is an absolute cracker of a collection, with 3 chapters released across the months of July, August and September. Für Elise is inspired by classical music and art and there are so many fabulous new prints from Mozart pandas and cat choirs to notes and violas.

The Animals Observatory AW20 - A Love Story with Pop Iconography

The Animals Observatory AW20 - A Love Story with Pop Iconography

The first instalment of the (quite frankly AMAZING) AW20 collection from The Animals Observatory dropped on July 21st at the slightly un-godly hour of 6am CET (thats 5am UK time folks, 5am!) so armed with lots of strong coffee and slightly bleary-eyed we hit the launch button and waited for lift-off!

Launch days are always a slightly apprehensive affair, will you love it as much as we do, did we plump for the pieces you are going to love? The answer was a resounding YES and we were thrilled to read all of your positive feedback and see several pieces and sizes sell out in those first couple of days. When you get all the feels, we get the all the feels too so thank you!

It's here! The eagerly awaited AW20 collection by Bobo Choses, The Catalogue of Marvellous Trades.

Firstly, WOW What a week last week! And what a BUZZ launch day was! Drop 1 landed with us on Thursday 16th July and the excitement in the days that ran up to launch was palpable. We always thought this collection was something pretty special and to see that cross-over amongst all of our wonderful customers really was a joy to behold, thanks to each and every one of you for your orders.

New collection: Bobo Choses - A Dance Romance

New collection: Bobo Choses - A Dance Romance

We are thrilled to finally reveal the new collection from Bobo Choses for SS20, A Dance Romance.

Inspired by the world of dance as seen through a child's eyes, the collection reflects both their passion for movement and the fun and free spirited way in which they express themselves through the medium of dance, there's no wrong or right way, just their own way!

Comfort meets vintage-retro style this season in a cheerful symphony of colours, prints and textures. We adore the look and feel of this tracksuit, available as separates but absolutely awesome together!

There is some beautiful attention to detail in this collection, embroidery detailing, ribbon and a variety of other finishes that give things that special edge. Wrinkled woven fabrics, elastic and structured fleece, organic cotton knitwear, garment dye knitwear and digital watercolor effect prints are just some of the special characteristics of this movement tribute collection.

We have so much love for the accessories this season, our personal favourites have to be the silky scarfs available in leopard, pineapple and the chachacha kiss, the blue wide brimmed sunhat, the yellow striped elephant school bag and the brilliant RIGHT and LEFT trainers available in sizes EUR 24-35 (UK Infant 7 to Junior 3) to help keep those dance moves in check!

Available in baby sizes 3/6 months through to 24/36 months and kids 2/3 years right up to 10/11 years. Shop the full range here or visit our lovely shop in the heart of Brighton's North Laine where we will have some of the key pieces available to lust after in the coming weeks!

The Animals Are Here!

The Animals Are Here!

We are beyond excited to welcome The Animals Observatory into the Junior Edition fold for the first time and what a collection to start with!

The lovechild of Jan Andreu and former creative director for Bobo Choses, Laia Aguilar, The Animals Observatory is a timeless brand. Both children and adults are drawn to its sense of playfulness, comfort and aesthetic, all of which based on the philosophy of an old motto that Laia often repeats to her children: ‘Be a good animal, true to your instincts’.

With lots of adorable pieces for your smallest smalls, the baby-suits are some of the cutest one-pieces we have seen in a long time. There are lots of beautiful patterns but our favourites here are the hot pink Halley's Comet and more muted but equally gorgeous busts in beige.

For those super sunny days there are some lovely playsuits and dresses for older girls. We adore the apple patterned terry towelling playsuit and the gingham  sleeveless dress with peach placement print is so elegant, if only they did grown up sizes!

As well as all of the beautifully light and summer bits there are some lovely pieces that are perfectly suited to the not so sunny days that make up much of the great British summer! These trouser and jacket combos are the perfect marriage of style and comfort.

The Animals Observatory has 10 Manifestos but out of all of them it's number 5 that resonates the most with us: "Love Above All, Equality Above All, Kindness Above All"  - available across a range of styles and colours.

Bobo's Never-ending Summer

Bobo's Never-ending Summer

As a child, Jane Goodall was given a cuddly chimpanzee toy named Jubilee and her passion and love for animals was ignited.

In later life Jane's adventure led her to the Gombe Stream National Park in Africa where she spent her life watching and learning about chimpanzees, she is now credited with being one of world's foremost experts on the species.

Never-ending Summer, the SS18 collection from Bobo Choses tells the story of young Jane, focussing on the questions she sought answers to as a child, curious about the world around her.

To pick our favourites from this sublime range has been an almost impossible task, quite frankly we are as in love with this exciting new collection as we are in awe of Jane's inspiring work.

The baby range boasts some brilliant brights as well as more muted khakis and greens and the most beautiful range of knitted culottes which look fabulous at any age.

For the older girls there are some simply stunning sundresses and skirts which we loved teamed here with the Novesta Forest sneaker.

There are some really fun shorts and tee combos for the boys and lots and lots of unisex pieces, we love the jumpsuits that look just as fab on boys as girls.

Never-ending Summer is our biggest collection yet with some 150 pieces in the range and we've also extended our range up to 9 years! From wardrobe essentials and swimwear to hats and bags, we've got it covered!
