Every Apolina collection stems from designer Caroline Duckett's love of modern craft and the desire to create a line of nostalgic but exciting pieces that can be cherished and passed on. The AW23 collection continues Apolina's love of hand techniques, showcasing new embroideries, crochet finishes and intricate smocking.
This autumn, the new collection's mood looks to a 1960s childhood filled with simple abandon; outdoor play, offbeat styling and no-rules personal expression. Statement 60s silhouettes sit alongside more casual and practical layering pieces to give a modern edge, and the chance for kids to create their own unique vision.
The Apolina colour palette embraces inspirations from the natural world. Practical, earthy tones of forest green, lichen, lake blue and bark sit alongside highlight tones of retro green and rose. Prints give a retro nod, conjuring romantic notions of a day in the woods with a bundle of lunch, or catching the last hours of sunlight while playing out on the street.
We love the statement Anni dress in Apolina's exclusive notebook floral print, with its skater silhouette and 1960s mood. Pair with our beautiful Pèpè Lulu T bar shoes in heritage tan for special outings.
Bibi dungarees are a new shape for us this season. The ankles can be rolled up or down to allow maxiumum wear (and growing kids!), and the style is roomy enough to layer with chunky knits on cold winter days. It's shown here layered with the beautiful Talitha blouse in pansy garden willow.
The retro sailor collar on the Bette shirt dress in bluebell cotton dobby showcases Apolina's beautiful embroideries. It's super cute with ankle socks and the Pèpè Ezra sandals in contrasting kava brown.
Mira dress in Apolina's exclusive pansy garden print is such an easy to wear dress, in a relaxed pull on shape. The dramatic contrast embroidery adds a special touch.
The Minnie dress is crafted in the season’s woven worker check - we also have the blouse version of this dress in the same fabric - and features Apolina's signature hand smocking at the chest and vintage folk style embroidered collar and cuffs.
